At My Silver Tree, we believe that every person has a story worth celebrating, and our Silver Memories Photo Session is crafted to honour that story with warmth, creativity, and connection. This isn’t a formal, professional, or high-pressure photo shoot; rather, it is a gentle experience filled with caring attention, where we use light, comfortable styling and a relaxed setting so that you feel calm, beautiful, and seen. The focus is on capturing moments of joy, presence, and dignity for the older adult, and creating thoughtful keepsakes for the person and their loved ones.
In this session, we invite the mature individual (or the adult and their family together) to be themselves, whether seated in a familiar room, beside a favourite plant, or enjoying a peaceful spot around their home. We bring gentle direction, soft lighting, and creative sensitivity to highlight character, expression, and the true essence of the person. The result is a set of photographs that reflect not only how someone looks, but how someone feels: valued, comfortable, connected, and alive. Families often treasure these images because they become visible reminders of the person’s vitality and presence.
We can also create special Silver Memories for holidays and family occasions such as weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, or milestone celebrations. While we don’t provide on-site event photography, we can gently assist your loved one in getting ready for the occasion, offering bathing, grooming, dressing, hairstyling, and light makeup if desired, and take a few lovely photos at home before the event. This allows the older adult to feel confident, included, and beautifully prepared without the stress of travel or long hours, while the family enjoys the peace of mind of knowing everything is taken care of.
