At My Silver Tree, we value transparency, professionalism, and care.
The following disclaimers outline the limits, responsibilities, and conditions for each service we offer.
Please review them carefully before booking or receiving any service.
Dog Bath & Brush (In-Home)
My Silver Tree provides light in-home bathing and brushing services only.
We do not offer haircuts, de-shedding, de-matting, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, nail trimming, or any type of medical or veterinary grooming.
All pets must be in good general health, free from contagious conditions, open wounds, fleas, or ticks, and must be manageable, non-aggressive, and current on all required vaccinations at the time of service. Services may be refused, postponed, or discontinued at any time if the pet exhibits signs of illness, distress, aggression, or unsafe behavior that may pose a risk to the pet, the handler, or property.
Pet owners acknowledge that bathing, brushing, and handling involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: skin irritation, allergic reactions, accidental scratches, water or soap exposure to sensitive areas, or stress-related responses. While My Silver Tree takes every reasonable precaution to ensure a calm, safe, and positive experience, the company and its representatives shall not be held liable for injury, reaction, stress, or health issues occurring during or after the service, except in cases of proven negligence or willful misconduct.
If the pet’s coat condition, size, or temperament requires additional time, handling, or assistance, extra charges may apply. These will be communicated and agreed upon with the client before continuing the service.
Clients are responsible for providing a safe, clean, and accessible area with adequate water supply and space for the service. My Silver Tree is not responsible for any damage to flooring, plumbing, or property resulting from the service being conducted in an unsuitable or unsafe area.
Pet owners acknowledge and agree that the service provider is not a licensed veterinarian or medical groomer, and that My Silver Tree’s services are purely cosmetic, hygienic, and comfort-based. Any medical concerns observed during the service will be reported to the owner, but it remains the owner’s responsibility to seek veterinary care.
By booking or allowing My Silver Tree to perform in-home pet services, the client agrees to release and hold harmless My Silver Tree, its owner, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities related to injury, illness, or property damage arising directly or indirectly from the service, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional harm.
Blanket, Comforter & Duvet Laundry Service (Pick Up & Delivery)
My Silver Tree provides laundry services for household items such as blankets, comforters, and duvets with reasonable care and attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and handling. While every effort is made to deliver high-quality results, no cleaning process can guarantee identical outcomes or restoration of items to their original condition.
Fabric & Results Variability
Clients understand that fabrics react differently to washing, detergents, temperature, agitation, and handling based on fiber composition, age, prior wear, previous cleaning methods, construction, and the presence or age of stains. Results may vary accordingly, and color or texture changes may occur even when manufacturer care labels are followed.
Client Responsibilities
All items must be clearly labeled, free of valuables, and in reasonable condition for cleaning. The client warrants that items are suitable for laundering per any care label. My Silver Tree is not responsible for:
• Pre-existing damage, fraying, tears, loose seams, fading, shrinkage, pilling, discoloration, or weakened fabric.
• Dye bleeding, color transfer, or texture change due to manufacturer defects or prior improper care.
• Damage caused by hidden objects (e.g., pens, tissues, coins, jewelry, zippers, buttons, or medical devices) left inside the item.
• Stains that cannot be removed due to their chemical nature, age, oxidation, or previous setting by heat or cleaning agents.
Detergents, Allergies & Sensitivities
My Silver Tree uses standard professional-grade detergents, softeners, and cleaning products suitable for general use.
While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that any product will be completely free from allergens, fragrances, or residues.
Clients must inform us in advance of any known allergies or sensitivities to detergents or cleaning agents.
My Silver Tree shall not be held liable for allergic reactions, skin sensitivities, or respiratory discomfort experienced by the client, household members, or pets resulting from the cleaned items.
Body Fluids / Blood & Bio-Safety
Protein-based stains (including blood, urine, feces, vomit, wound exudate, or other body fluids) can permanently set, especially with time, heat, or prior cleaning attempts.
My Silver Tree does not guarantee the removal of such stains and is not liable if any bodily fluid or blood staining persists after cleaning.
The client must disclose if items are soiled with body fluids. Items should be bagged separately.
Additional bio-safety handling, pre-treatment, or re-cleaning may incur an extra fee; if so, the fee will be communicated and approved in advance.
My Silver Tree reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or discontinue service for items that present a health risk or are unsuitable for standard laundering.
Instructions & Information
If the client provides incorrect or incomplete information regarding fabric type, care requirements, or prior treatments (e.g., home stain removers), My Silver Tree will not be held liable for any resulting damage or outcomes.
Limitation of Liability
In cases of loss or damage, My Silver Tree’s total liability is strictly limited to the amount paid for the cleaning of the affected item(s).
We are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including sentimental value, replacement cost, loss of use, or business interruption.
Pick-Up / Delivery & Risk of Loss
Clients are responsible for ensuring the pick-up and drop-off location is safe, accessible, and weather-protected.
Risk of loss transfers to the client upon delivery to the designated location.
My Silver Tree is not liable for theft, damage, or loss occurring after completed delivery.
Abandoned Items
Items not claimed or scheduled for delivery within 30 days of completion may be deemed abandoned and disposed of in a reasonable manner without further liability.
By requesting or accepting My Silver Tree’s laundry service, the client acknowledges and agrees to these terms and conditions in full.
Light Cleaning, Decluttering & Organizing
My Silver Tree provides non-medical cleaning and organizing services intended solely to enhance comfort, safety, and overall well-being within the home. These services are not medical, therapeutic, or caregiving in nature. While every effort is made to perform with care and professionalism, My Silver Tree and its representatives are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of any kind arising from or related to the services provided.
Clients are responsible for safeguarding all valuables, fragile, or sentimental items prior to service. My Silver Tree does not assume liability for pre-existing wear, deterioration, or damage to any surfaces, furnishings, or materials. Certain cleaning or organizing requests may require specialized or professional attention beyond the scope of these services; such tasks may be declined for reasons of safety or practicality.
By booking or receiving any service, clients acknowledge that results may vary according to the condition of the space, materials, and level of clutter. My Silver Tree is not responsible for allergic reactions or sensitivities related to cleaning products, though safe and gentle options may be used upon prior request. Heavy furniture, biohazardous materials, and medical or personal care tasks are excluded from the scope of service unless explicitly arranged in writing.
In all cases, the total liability of My Silver Tree, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total amount paid for the affected appointment.
Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Gentle Face Cleansing, Wellness Hand and Feet Care, Gentle Movement Support
The wellness and relaxation services provided by My Silver Tree, including but not limited to Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Gentle Face Cleansing, Wellness Hand and Feet Care, Gentle Movement Support, and any related complementary or relaxation-based practices, are strictly non-medical in nature. These services are intended solely to promote comfort, relaxation, and general well-being.
My Silver Tree practitioners are not licensed medical professionals and do not diagnose, prescribe, treat, or claim to cure any physical, mental, or emotional condition. These services are not a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed healthcare provider. Clients are strongly encouraged to consult their physician or other qualified healthcare professionals prior to participating in any service, particularly if they have chronic health conditions, mobility limitations, allergies, skin sensitivities, cardiovascular concerns, or any other medical or psychological condition.
All participation in My Silver Tree services is voluntary. By scheduling or receiving a session, the client acknowledges that they understand the nature and purpose of the services and accept full responsibility for their own health, safety, and well-being during and after the session.
While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure a safe and professional environment, My Silver Tree, its owner, practitioners, employees, contractors, and representatives shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, injuries, or losses resulting from participation in or use of these services. This includes, without limitation, allergic reactions, skin irritation, emotional distress, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, or any perceived or actual physical or psychological discomfort occurring during or after the session.
My Silver Tree uses only gentle, commercially available products and equipment appropriate for wellness and relaxation. Clients are responsible for informing the practitioner in advance of any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or limitations that could affect their session. The company is not responsible for adverse reactions to products, oils, lotions, or materials used, even when such sensitivities were not previously disclosed.
For client safety, practitioners reserve the right to modify, decline, or discontinue a service immediately if signs of pain, discomfort, contraindication, or unsafe conditions are observed. All services are performed within the ethical and professional boundaries of the practitioner’s scope of practice, with respect, confidentiality, and care.
By engaging in any service offered by My Silver Tree, the client agrees that the company’s total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be strictly limited to the cost of the service paid for the affected session, and no further damages, claims, or remedies shall be sought or implied.
Joyful Recreation
The services and activities offered under My Silver Tree’s Joyful Recreation program, including but not limited to Cognitive & Creative Activities, Silver Beauty Sessions (Makeover), and Silver Memories Photo Sessions, are designed exclusively for leisure, creative expression, and general well-being. These services are non-medical and are not intended to replace, supplement, or be interpreted as occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological counseling, cosmetology, professional photography, or any other form of licensed healthcare or professional treatment.
All sessions and activities are voluntary and self-paced. Clients participate at their own discretion and should engage only in activities within their comfort, mobility, and ability level. Participation assumes acknowledgment and acceptance of potential minimal risks that may naturally occur during recreational or grooming activities, including but not limited to mild fatigue, eye strain, temporary skin irritation, allergic reactions to products or materials (such as makeup, hair products, cleaning or craft supplies), muscle stiffness, or emotional sensitivity related to the activity.
My Silver Tree exercises reasonable care to ensure safety, cleanliness, and respectful facilitation during all sessions. However, clients and families are responsible for informing the facilitator in advance of any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may affect participation or the use of personal-care products, lighting, or materials. Products used in Silver Beauty Sessions are for light aesthetic and comfort purposes only. Clients assume responsibility for any reactions that may arise despite reasonable precautions.
The Silver Memories Photo Session is offered as a recreational and creative photography experience for personal enjoyment and memory-making purposes. It is not a professional or commercial photography service. While My Silver Tree takes care to create a safe and comfortable environment, clients agree that all photos are provided “as is” and that My Silver Tree, its representatives, and staff shall not be held liable for any dissatisfaction with photographic results, lighting conditions, image quality, or emotional responses to the session.
For all Joyful Recreation services, My Silver Tree and its representatives shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, injuries, or losses arising from participation, use of materials, or engagement in activities, except in cases of proven gross negligence. Participants, clients, and families release and hold harmless My Silver Tree, its owner, staff, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from voluntary participation.
Before participating, clients and/or their caregivers are encouraged to:
• Inform the facilitator of any medical, physical, cognitive, or emotional condition that may affect participation.
• Obtain medical clearance from their healthcare provider if necessary.
• Supervise or assist participants who may require additional support during activities or grooming sessions.
By engaging in any My Silver Tree Joyful Recreation service, participants acknowledge that they understand the purpose and scope of these activities, that participation is voluntary, and that they accept full responsibility for their personal well-being, comfort, and outcomes during and after the session.
Cognitive & Creative Activities
The activities offered under My Silver Tree’s Joyful Recreation program are designed exclusively for leisure, cognitive engagement, and general well-being. These services are not intended to replace, supplement, or be interpreted as occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological counseling, or any other form of healthcare or medical treatment.
All activities, including but not limited to games, puzzles, arts, crafts, light exercises, and guided creative sessions, are voluntary and self-paced. Clients participate at their own discretion and should engage only in activities within their comfort and ability level. Participation assumes acknowledgment and acceptance of potential minimal risks associated with recreational engagement (e.g., mild fatigue, eye strain, muscle stiffness, or allergic reactions to materials such as paint, glue, markers, or coloring supplies).
Certain activities may involve the use of scissors, cutting tools, or small objects as part of arts and crafts. My Silver Tree exercises reasonable care to ensure safety and supervision during all activities; however, participants are advised to handle these materials carefully and follow all instructions provided by the facilitator. My Silver Tree, its representatives, and staff shall not be held liable for any injury, cut, or accident resulting from the voluntary use or misuse of tools or materials during sessions.
Before participating, clients and/or their caregivers are encouraged to:
• Inform the facilitator of any medical, physical, or cognitive condition that may affect participation.
• Obtain medical clearance from their healthcare provider if necessary.
• Supervise or assist participants who may require additional support when using tools or fine-motor materials.
By engaging in My Silver Tree’s Joyful Recreation activities, participants acknowledge and agree that they do so at their own risk and release My Silver Tree, its owner, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or damages resulting from participation.
Personal Care Assistance Services
The services provided under My Silver Tree’s Personal Care Assistance category, including Bathing, Dressing & Personal Care - Respite Service, Meal Preparation, and Personal In-Home Laundry, are non-medical in nature and are intended solely to support comfort, safety, and well-being in the home. These services do not replace professional medical, nursing, or therapeutic care.
All assistance is provided within the limits of a Personal Support Worker’s (PSW) scope of practice and focused on daily living support. While every reasonable effort is made to ensure safety, comfort, and quality care, My Silver Tree, its owner, representatives, and staff shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, injuries, allergic reactions, or losses arising from participation in, or use of, these services.
Clients are responsible for notifying My Silver Tree of any medical conditions, mobility limitations, allergies, or sensitivities that may affect service delivery. For meal preparation, clients must inform staff of any dietary restrictions or food allergies before service begins. My Silver Tree is not responsible for health reactions or sensitivities related to ingredients, food handling, detergents, or laundry products, though every effort will be made to use safe, gentle, and client-approved materials when requested in advance.
For safety reasons, My Silver Tree does not provide medical treatments, wound care, or lifting beyond safe manual handling limits. Clients are expected to ensure that the home environment is safe and accessible for service delivery. Services may be postponed, modified, or discontinued if unsafe conditions, illness, or other risks are identified during the visit.
By scheduling or receiving services, clients acknowledge that they understand the purpose and limits of these non-medical services and agree to assume full responsibility for their own health, environment, and belongings. My Silver Tree’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the cost of the affected service appointment.
General Terms & Acknowledgment
All services provided by My Silver Tree are intended to promote comfort, safety, and well-being in a non-medical and non-clinical setting.
Clients acknowledge that these services are supportive in nature and not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or veterinary care.
By booking, purchasing, or receiving any service from My Silver Tree, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted the terms and disclaimers outlined on this page.
