Reiki Session

At My Silver Tree, Reiki is offered as a gentle, non-invasive energy practice designed to bring calm, comfort, and renewed balance to older adults in the comfort of their homes. Originating in Japan, the word Reiki combines “Rei” (Universal or Spiritual Consciousness) and “ki” (Life Force Energy that flows through all living beings). Together, they describe “Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy,” a concept based on the understanding that when this energy is low or blocked, it can lead to physical, emotional, or mental imbalances. The goal of each session is to gently remove these blockages and restore harmony, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and maintain well-being. Reiki focuses on harmonizing the body’s seven main energy centers, known as chakras. When these energy points become blocked or unbalanced, stress and illness can manifest within the body and mind. Through light or near-touch hand movements, Reiki helps clear and balance these energy pathways, promoting relaxation, vitality, and emotional clarity. It is considered safe for seniors and is widely used in hospitals, hospices, and care settings as a complementary therapy that encourages comfort and healing without physical manipulation.
Many older adults experience relief from chronic pain, muscle stiffness, or arthritis discomfort, while also noticing reduced stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression. Reiki can also promote deeper sleep, improve focus, and provide comfort to those recovering from surgery or undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy. Beyond physical relief, the gentle power of touch fosters connection, reassurance, and inner peace, helping reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness.
Each session is personalized and adapted to individual comfort levels and needs, with attention to mobility, positioning, and energy sensitivity. Reiki at My Silver Tree is a complementary wellness service designed to support, not replace, professional medical care.
Every treatment is delivered with intention, empathy, and professionalism, helping seniors feel calmer, lighter, and more centered, restoring harmony to body, mind, and spirit.
